- Eligibility: Open to everyone, including startups, entrepreneurs, companies, universities, creatives, and practitioners, subject to applicable laws and organizer requirements.
- Submission: Solutions must be submitted through the approved submission form before the stated deadline.
- Originality: Submissions must be the participant’s own work and must not knowingly infringe third-party intellectual property rights. By submitting, applicants confirm they hold the necessary rights to submit and present the solution.
- Evaluation: Solutions are assessed on innovation, feasibility, sustainability, impact, scalability, value to Doha Design District (DDD), and relevance to urban, environmental, economic, and social challenges within Msheireb Downtown Doha. Selected applicants qualify for live pitching at Downtown Tech on 18 November 2026, where they will present and, where applicable, demonstrate their solutions to the evaluation committee.
- Selection of winners: Winners are selected by an appointed evaluation committee. The committee’s decision is final.
- Development and implementation: Winning solutions may undergo feasibility assessment, prototyping, testing, and pilot implementation before full deployment.
- Intellectual property: Participants retain ownership of their ideas and grant the organizer permission to review and evaluate submissions. If a winning solution proceeds to development, pilot, or commercialization, the organizer holds a first right to negotiate licensing terms for a defined exclusivity period, with final terms agreed separately and in good faith.
- Recognition and funding: Awards and development funding follow the approved structure and may be tied to milestones or agreed development activities.
- Confidentiality and governing law: Please do not submit confidential, restricted, or third-party proprietary information without authorization. Personal data is processed under Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016, and these terms are governed by the laws of Qatar. The organizer may amend, suspend, cancel, or disqualify entries at its discretion.
Selected applicants will be required to enter into a formal agreement with Msheireb Properties outlining scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and other details.
