Meet Sara Al-Hail

Sara Al-Hail is a multidisciplinary Qatari artist and designer whose work transforms nostalgia, culture, and contemporary luxury into immersive visual experiences. Since beginning her artistic journey in 2018, she has developed a distinctive style that merges vibrant pop art, anime influences, Arabic identity, and handcrafted design.
Working across painting, sculpture, furniture, and mixed media, Sara creates expressive worlds filled with bold color, layered storytelling, and playful detail. Her practice combines oil, acrylic, spray paint, ink, textiles, wood, clay, and custom-built elements, often blurring the line between fine art and functional design. From sculptural furniture pieces to painted frames and custom skateboards, every work reflects her passion for craftsmanship and experimentation.
With a background in Computer Engineering and Information Systems, Sara brings a unique balance of structure and imagination to her creative process. Her works often explore memory, childhood nostalgia, luxury culture, and the dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Beyond the studio, Sara is the founder of Collectors Café — an artisanal café and creative hub that brings together art, design, exhibitions, and community under one space.
Her work has been exhibited in Qatar and internationally, including in Dubai and Milan.

Passion begins the journey, experimentation shapes it, and mastery becomes the result.

  • Winner of the Sustainable Fashion Show — Painted Abaya, QIAF, 2025 - Winner of the Sustainable Fashion Show at the Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) in 2025 for an original hand-painted abaya. The project transformed the traditional abaya into a wearable artwork, bringing together painting, fashion, sustainability, and cultural identity while extending artistic expression beyond the conventional canvas.
  • Nishan Art Competition — Second Place Winner, Qatar, 2025 - Awarded Second Place in the Nishan Art Competition in 2025 for a sculptural work created using bullet shells. The project transformed an unconventional material into a contemporary artistic statement, reflecting my multidisciplinary approach, material experimentation, and interest in giving unexpected objects new artistic meaning.
  • Mixed-Media Functional Art — Dubai & Milan - Created a collection of mixed-media functional artworks, including hand-painted surfboards, skateboards, furniture, and everyday objects transformed into collectible art pieces. Selected works from this practice were displayed internationally in Dubai and Milan, demonstrating an approach that moves beyond the traditional canvas and brings together contemporary art, design, craftsmanship, and functional objects.
  • Magzoid Dubai — Artist in Focus Coffee Table Book, 2024 - Featured as an Artist in Focus in Magzoid Dubai’s 2024 coffee table book, highlighting my artistic journey, multidisciplinary practice, and selected works.
