Maryam Al-Homaid is a Qatari interdisciplinary designer whose work explores the ever changing visual language of her region by bringing together tradition, digital processes and contemporary social phenomena.
Key Projects
- Keys to Memories (2025 - Created in collaboration with Boo Design Studio and Qatar Museums, this large-scale public artwork in front of the Lusail Metro Station is composed of 250,000 reclaimed keychains collected from fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
- QU textile design (2024): - A hand-woven, hand-dyed wool textile (200 × 200 cm) that references the architecture of Qatar University.
- El Rayyan scroll (2022): - A hand-woven visual scroll (150 × 200 cm) that depicts the city of Al Rayyan City in Qatar, featuring iconography of landmark architecture.
