Meet Najat Saad Al-Kuwari
Najat Saad Al-Kuwari is a Qatari conceptual public art designer, an educator with over 15 years of experience, and the Founder and Creative Director of ERTH Platform. Her work explores heritage, memory, cultural identity, and the human experience through conceptual art and design.
Rooted in Qatar and inspired by its stories and places, she works across public art, cultural design, visual storytelling, and inclusive experiences, creating projects that encourage reflection and build connections between people, place, and identity.
Whether inspired by a place, a poem, or a personal experience, I seek to create work that goes beyond what is seen and invites people to feel, reflect, and find their own connection to the story
Key Projects
- Erth Platform (منصة إرث) - ERTH is a creative platform rooted in Qatar, founded by Najat to explore cultural identity, heritage, and human-centred design. Through art, design, and creative projects, ERTH draws inspiration from local culture and transforms it into contemporary experiences while remaining connected to Qatar’s roots.
- BASEERA, Smart Mobility for the Blind and Visually Impaired - A human-centred cultural mobility project designed to support blind and visually impaired people in navigating cultural spaces with greater independence and confidence. The concept brings together tactile guidance, audio assistance, smart safety points, and accessible cultural information. The project is currently under consideration for further development.
- What Is Home to You?”, Art Mill Museum - Najat participated in the Art Mill Museum Open Call, “What Is Home to You?”, with an artistic interpretation exploring the meaning of home beyond its physical form; as a place shaped by memory, belonging, identity, and emotional connection.
- Presence Through Absence الحضور من خلال الغياب)) - A conceptual work exploring the idea that absence does not always mean disappearance. Through memory, emotion, and the traces left behind, the work reflects on how people, places, and experiences can continue to live within us even when they are no longer physically present.
