Doha Design District has welcomed TEC Café (The Espresso Collective) to Msheireb Downtown Doha, with the specialty coffee destination officially opening its doors in the district’s central atrium — enriching the creative ecosystem with a new space where design, culture and community come together.
The opening was attended by Noof Al Heidous, founder of TEC Café and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar, alongside members of Qatar’s creative community, coffee enthusiasts, designers, artists, influencers and guests. The event celebrated the growth of a homegrown concept that reflects the spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship that Doha Design District continues to foster.
Guests were invited to get hands-on with a tote bag printing station and a make-your-own-matcha bar, adding a playful, participatory layer to the celebration. Adding to the atmosphere, Mianda Collective, one of Qatar’s leading creative movements, curated the musical experience for the evening — bringing back the nostalgic tradition of dedicating songs to one another, a touch that turned the soundtrack into a shared, communal experience and encouraged conversation, networking and meaningful connections among guests. Throughout the event, visitors explored TEC’s carefully crafted specialty coffee menu while taking in the district’s distinctive design-led ambience.
Positioned at the heart of the district, TEC Café offers more than exceptional coffee. Designed as an inviting gathering place, it provides a welcoming environment for creatives, entrepreneurs, students, residents and visitors to meet, collaborate or simply pause and recharge within one of Qatar’s leading destinations for design and innovation. The café serves a curated selection of premium specialty coffee, handcrafted beverages and seasonal offerings, making it a natural addition to the district’s growing mix of creative experiences and lifestyle destinations.
The opening aligns with Doha Design District’s vision of creating a vibrant ecosystem where creativity extends beyond studios and galleries into everyday experiences. By welcoming concepts such as TEC Café, the district continues to cultivate an environment that inspires collaboration, encourages innovation and offers spaces where the creative community can connect, exchange ideas and find inspiration.
