All submissions must be original. Applicants must hold or have licensed the intellectual property rights to the proposed work and may be required to provide documentation verifying authorship and ownership. Plagiarized or previously submitted works may result in disqualification.
Applicants must commit to obtaining the necessary visas and arranging their travel, if applicable, to attend site visits, coordination meetings, fabrication oversight, installation, de-installation, and opening events in Doha Design District, in accordance with the published timeline.
Selected applicants must adhere strictly to the project timeline, scope of work, and deliverables as outlined by Msheireb Properties.
The winning projects will be displayed for 2 years on a loan basis, unless agreed otherwise with a separate agreement after the selection of the winning projects.
The winning projects will remain the intellectual property of its creators for the duration of the project and display, while allowing Msheireb Properties to reproduce it in any material form as a permanent or temporary installation as well as any other form including but not limited to merchandising and promoting it as such.
Msheireb Properties reserves the right to modify, adapt, relocate, or refine submitted proposals as necessary to ensure alignment with the curatorial vision, site conditions, safety requirements, and overall development objectives.
Msheireb Properties reserves the right to exhibit, publish, and promote all submitted proposals with proper credit to their authors.
Msheireb Properties also reserves the right to acquire the exclusive rights to the design subject to a separate agreement.
Selected applicants will be required to enter into a formal agreement outlining scope of work, responsibilities, technical requirements, deliverables, intellectual property terms, and agreed-upon artist fees.
Selected applicants are expected to collaborate professionally with Msheireb Properties, appointed consultants, contractors, engineers, and relevant stakeholders throughout all project phases.
Failure to meet agreed-upon deadlines, technical standards, or contractual obligations may result in termination of the agreement and withdrawal from the project.
All submitted materials, including visuals, renderings, texts, and supporting documentation, may be used by Msheireb Properties for evaluation, marketing, promotional, and archival purposes, with appropriate credit to the applicant.
Production of all selected artworks must be carried out within the State of Qatar. Artists are required to collaborate with selected or approved local manufacturers and production partners, as identified or endorsed by Doha Design District / Msheireb Properties, to ensure alignment with project standards, logistics, and quality requirements.
